Welcome to our 100th report! 🎉 Wow, we finally made it but it feels like just yesterday we were brainstorming this crazy snow reporting idea. On one whirlwind day at the beginning of the season, we came up with the concept, bought the domain, designed a logo, and launched Unofficial Okemo on Saturday, December 17th. 🚀 We went back to our first report to see what has changed and at that time we had a snack tip, no emojis, and we were still exploring our fun writing style. Since then, we've managed to deliver you 100 reports while keeping our love for the sport in contact. Thanks for coming along for the ride, but stay tuned for our final report tomorrow before we close out the 2022/2023 winter season for good. 🎬 Today, we obviously went skiing (Abby, Noah, and Jessie) because you can't turn down another 80-degree day on the slopes.
Abby, Noah, and Jessie got together to celebrate the 100th snow report today. It was a balmy 70 degrees and bluebird skies... it doesn’t get much better than that. 🌞 The mountain is noticeably losing snow every day. It is pretty wild to see what a few degrees of sun angle can do this time of year. As much as we all would have liked a later season, the snowpack by Sunday is going to be limiting. It's important to use caution the next few days as there are lots of bare spots, ice spots, and varying snow conditions. 😅 We took our normal early morning laps before our work commitments had us running back to the office.
We skied for a couple of hours hitting up Sapphire, World Cup, Nor’ Easter, and Heaven’s Gate to name a few. On days like this, remember to wear sunscreen, or have a friend like Abby, who shows up with three different options.🧴 Leave your gloves at home, grab some sunglasses, and get up here to enjoy the fun vibes. Everyone who is out there has a smile on their face and is ready to spread the love.
