Views of the low clouds from Lower Arrow.

Ted and I planned to meet at 5:30 a.m. but after I finally got all my gear together (sorry Ted) our climb began around 6 a.m. It was a warm and foggy start to the day, we were dropping layers fast! Ted was leading the charge because it was a slow morning for me, but we made it to the summit in about an hour so - that’s a win in my book!

Today's Quick Facts:

🎿 Trail Count: 26/122

🚡 Lift Count: 7/20

⛷️ Today's Ski: Atomic Backland 100 (tele set-up)

🧤 Today's Gear: Helly Hansen

The views were nothing special today, we were socked in the clouds all morning and the first half of our descent was more of the same. The snow had set up overnight which gave us firm groomers in spots. The snow was much softer in some areas that they had groomed later this morning. It was a great downhill, pretty slow at the start due to low visibility but by the time we were halfway down the clouds had broken and visibility was much better. It looks to be a great day out there, we may see some spotty rain over the course of the day but don't let that scare you. Bring a good waterproof jacket and don’t be afraid to go see our friends Connor and Chip at The Bull to dry off, grab some food, and maybe a cocktail. 🥂

We don't have a great forecast this weekend but Sunday is shaping up to bring us some fresh snow so stay tuned for more updates! ❄️ I do want to give a quick shoutout to one of our followers Mike who we saw in the parking lot heading up for his first uphill adventure. Way to go, Mike, keep the stoke alive!

Pro Tip: On days with questionable weather, you may find less crowds. Don't get scared off by a little rain. It's usually not as bad as you think and typically you get to reap the rewards of short lift lines.

The conversation surrounding Uphill Travel at Okemo has been swirling around town regarding the rules and regulations. You can find Okemo's Uphill Travel Policy here. Please, please, please, be cool and follow the rules. Nobody wants to be the guy that ruins it for everyone. Respect the mountain and they'll respect you back.

Think snow,
