28. Thursday, January 19th

Good morning from the soon-to-be snow globe of Okemo Mountain! 🍧 We are your one-stop shop for information on the upcoming snowstorm (and a few more following tonight's!) so join us for today's report on the early-morning conditions, weather outlook, and sexy sunrise pics (duh).

Unofficial Okemo Snow Report
The sun rising over Hot Dog Hill and the Sugar House

It was a great morning for a hike, fresh air, mild temps, and a 7:15 start because I, (Noah), didn’t want to get up early today. It was a rough start though, my bunionette was acting up but after 30 minutes, we were on the same page. The groomers were out on Nor’easter getting things geared up for the racers. We got a sliver of a sunrise this morning but the overcast skies made quick work of it, leaving us with grey skies and the promise of snow.

The snow was crisp and fast this morning with a very light breeze. Temperatures are expected to be in the mid-20s to mid-30s across the mountain today.

Today's quick facts:

🎿 Trail Count: 74

🚡 Lift Count: 12

❄️ Snowfall: Starting at 5 p.m. tonight!

🔫 Snowmaking: Nothing last night - but ready for another push after this upcoming storm!

Pro Tip: Put your windshield wipers in the upright and locked position tonight to prepare for the snow - don't let frozen wipers slow you down tomorrow as you hit first chair for pow.

Stoke is in the air as the talk of a legitimate snowstorm is stirring! The storm will visit us this evening around 5 p.m. and stick around until Friday night. There's a possibility that tonight's weather may switch between snow and wintery mix for a few hours, but nothing too severe that would set the mountain back.

There is a lot of uncertainty about the total storm accumulation. From what we gather 3”-6” is expected with a chance that we could encounter more if temps stay low tonight. All of that being said The West River Weather Guy is predicting 5”-10” in the mountains with some ski areas having the potential for more! We are getting out on the slopes tomorrow, so we will keep you updated on the snowfall, storm totals, and current conditions. ⚠️
