Waking up surrounded by snow-covered trees and without a single rock or pile of mud in sight is truly what dreams are made of. 🤩 The joy of skiing on fresh snow and the constant whirl of snow flurries is what makes living in the tundra enjoyable. If you're hitting the slopes today, you'll be greeted with beautifully groomed conditions, monochromatic views of crisp white hills, and hopefully lots of smiling faces as we reap the benefits of yesterday's storm. This morning, Noah and his crew of hikers got after it early and are here to report back with today's snow conditions...
We were in the snow globe early this morning with cloudy skies while snow flurries were falling down. 🌨️ We had a great crew out this morning with five of my favorite flatlanders (and Felix came along too). Today's crew included Noah, George, Mike, Dr. Mike, Roger, Jen, and Felix. The snow was great from the start; that soft natural snow we received during yesterday's storm made a huge difference to the conditions. The summit was a little more cloudy than the rest of the mountain, but that is partly due to the snowmaking going on (kachow!). The cats were out in full force giving us pristine groomers on the way down. The snow is soft but still set up well for some great skiing today.
They made snow last night on Village Run, Promenade, Upper Timberline, and the Summit. We even saw a gun running at Hot Dog Hill! ❄️ We are expecting temps in the low 20s at the summit and mid to upper 20s in the base area with cloudy skies and light winds. Keep doing your snow dances because we have another storm on the horizon for Sunday! Stay tuned for more updates on the upcoming storm and snow totals.
Today's quick facts:
🎿 Trail Count: 75
🚡 Lift Count: 20
❄️ Snowfall: 7" Storm Total (based on the summit )
