31. Sunday, January 22nd

Though the weekend is coming to an end, we're starting to think Monday is looking like a great day to play "hooky" from your real life. With another snowstorm settling into the valley this evening, tomorrow's responsibilities might need to take a backseat to Mother Nature's gifts. Who's joining us for a self-made long weekend? You? Yes? Great! First, let's talk about today's snow conditions and what you can expect to ride at Okemo today. Stay until the end to read about the upcoming storm and what our meteorologists are reporting (which is really just Abby and Noah acting like they know anything with their "research")...

Unofficial Okemo Snow Report
He may not look like it, but Felix is very pleased to see snowmaking on Timberline today!

We didn’t have as many go-getters this Sunday morning, it was just Felix and I (Noah) making our way to the summit of Ludlow Mountain (yep, so creative). We were greeted with overcast skies, and no sunrise, but those gorgeous monochrome views were still worth it. You'll likely want to pack your low-light lens today with the cloud coverage. They continued to make snow across the mountain last night including Timberline and Easy Rider, where we saw the snowmakers hard at work as we skinned past. 🤠

There wasn’t much of a breeze up top, and both the Evergreen Express and Sunburst Six were spinning as we clicked into our bindings and headed down. The snow was amazing and perfectly groomed. Soft and crisp, it is going to be another great day of skiing and riding before tomorrow’s powder day!

Today's quick facts:

🎿 Trail Count: 77

🚡 Lift Count: 20

❄️ Snowfall: 8" Storm Total & More Coming!

🔫 Snowmaking Last Night: Easy Rider, Timberline, Sachem, Homeward Bound, Base Area

Pro Tip: Stop and see Renato for a chocolate-covered waffle at The Waffle Cabin (the main base area one!) Tell him Abby + Noah sent you. 😎

We are expecting temperatures to be in the mid to upper 20s today and potentially reaching the low 30s in the base. Cloudy skies will remain today as a new storm system approaches.

We are expecting snow to start this evening from 7 to 9 pm. We are anticipating most accumulation to end by mid-morning tomorrow and roll out later in the day. As always we have a few different numbers to go on but we think 4-8” is in the ballpark. Keep doing your snow dance because we want all we can get! ❄️

"Pretty good, though." - Felix (yes, this is as enthusiastic as he gets)
