We are back with another rainy day report! 💧 Have you thought about joining our Patreon? Well, if this snow report doesn't convince you I don't know what will. When you become a Patron, one of the perks for the World Cup Tier allows our members to commission a snow report! 🤯 Today, our Patron, Scott Boyarsky, is taking over for us and we think he did a fantastic job. Scott threw this rainy day snow report together over some nachos and beer at The Loft, so let's hear about today's "phishy" conditions! ⬇️

If you weren’t afraid to split open and melt, today’s fog and rain scared away the crowds. 👻Rather than hitchhiking to the beach, our crew got up and out the door and headed the advice of Warren Miller… “If you don’t do it this year, you’ll be one year older when you do.”

We started the morning over at Jackson Gore. Riding through the clouds, and over a lot of brown pow pow, we made it to the rocky top. 🪨 Our first turns took us down Sunset Strip. It was but the first turn that we realized it was heavy wet slush. Green Link to Sidewinder to catch a few runs up and down Evergreen Express. A normal holiday weekend like this and the lines at Evergreen would already be 20 min deep. The rain was clearly keeping everyone else in bed. 😴

We had a blast heading over to the Sunburst Six and found some nice turns on Muellers’ Run. We set the gearshift to the high gear of our souls, but we didn’t ski like an antelope out of control. Instead, we headed over to Solitude where it was super quiet. A few bomber runs down The Plunge was great. On a low-crowed wet day like today, The Plunge didn’t have much in the way of bumps, but the steeps were nice.

Today's Quick Facts:

🏔️ Trail Count: 51/122

🚡 Lift Count: 17/20

🧤 Suggested Gear: Waterproof Helly Hansen

Pro Tip: The Sunburst Six has heated seats, which is perfect for drying out ski pants, plus you can put the bubble down to protect you from the split pea soup. 🔥

We saw that Morning Star Triple was running. That meant Daybreak was open! A quick stop at our favorite New Jersey House for some treats from the Candy Mailbox, and then it was time to head back to Jackson Gore. 🍬 Dodging a lot of mud, we took Screamin’ Demon and caught a bunch of speed so we could cross over to Jack-a-Lope and Southern Crossing over to Jackson Gore Village. It was time to bag it, tag it, and make our way to The Loft for an early aprés! 🍻

P.S. On a rainy day like today… whatever you do… take care of your shoes! And friends heading to MSG, happy Phishing!

"A perfect morning skiing with family. As usual we laughed and laughed and fell apart." - Scott Boyarsky, Patron
