Happy Friday and cheers to a long weekend! đȘ© After getting ONE MILLION VIEWSÂ on our recent bubble on wind-hold video, shot by @rileykarlphotography, the marketing genius herself is back today for another snow report takeover. đ„°
Â
Please welcome our sponsor, friend, insanely talented photography, and uphill baddie, Riley Karl! If you appreciate photography and the occasional ski video, you'll want to follow her on Instagram right now. Let's hear about her Friday morning hike at Okemo, but first, can we take a moment to appreciate her Photo of the Day?! I need that framed, Riley! đ€©
Hi! Itâs your friendly neighborhood photographer, Riley Karl! đđŒââïžđž This morning I hiked up with my sister Brigid. She is a Snow Stars ski instructor with me. đ« Weâve both worked at Okemo since we were 14. You can also find Brigid working at The Killarney once in a while.đ

The mountain was having quite the spa dayđ đ» this morning as it was getting helluva grooming from a TON of snow cats! đ±
Â
We didnât see any snow guns going, but from what we saw on the ground, they definitely made some snow on Upper Sapphire & a few other places last night. âïžđ«
Â
The snow was quite soft as we were skiing down & with the sun hitting it, softened it up need more. đ Full coverage with packed snow⊠finally! đ
Â
Canât wait for the long weekend! See you all out there! đ
Pro Tip: Be kind to Okemo employees heading into the busy weekend.
There's lots of fun to be had on your ski trip to Okemo for the long weekend! To start, Outer Limits Brewing is reopening today đ after rebuilding from the flood. Sammy B will be performing his iconic live music, and pizza and local beers will be aplenty. đ»
Â
The Conniption Fits are playing tonight and tomorrow at Off The Rails - one of my favorite cover bands and a perfect excuse to sing "Stacy's Mom" at the top of your lungs. đ€
Â
Plus, Okemo is hosting another Apres Afternoons with @raviesokemo at the Jackson Gore base area. Enjoy live music by Red Rooster Riot from 2 to 5 p.m. or take a ride on the Timber Ripper Mountain Coaster!
Â
Now, let's talk about the weather. âïžÂ Thanks to our main man, The West River Weather Guy, he's shared a forecast about this weekend's storm. Starting tonight, we will have a small window to get snow instead of rain. If the temps stay cool, we could be seeing another 5 to 8 inches of snow at higher elevations by tomorrow. This will get compacted down by the sleet on top of it, but there won't be nearly as much rain as the last storm. So, if you're planning to ski tomorrow, wear a waterproof layer just in case.
Â
đŁ To close out, NOAH WILL BE BACK TOMORROW. Abby and her snow reporters have been holding down the fort for Noah since New Year's Eve. You're probably wondering where he went, and the truth is, he decided to leave behind all of his responsibilities and has been in Cabo for the last two weeks. đïž If it ends up raining more than forecasted, you have every right to blame Noah for it. Stay tuned for his return in tomorrow morning's report. - Abby

Please follow the Uphill Travel Policy at Okemo, follow the rules, and be cool about it.
