47. Friday, February 10th

After last night's snow/sleet/rain the sun is out and Okemo is enjoying an early day of Spring skiing. We didn't make it out on the slopes today but our good friends George and Bryce took the reigns to give us a look into what's going on at Okemo today.

Okemo Mountain Snow Report
George and Bryce on their way to grab first tracks.

I (Noah) had a busy day at work this morning which meant I had to call in a favor to get today's report out. George gladly accepted and was off to grab first chair with his friend Bryce. It was obvious right from the start that it was going to be spring skiing today! The snow was soft and slushy and the sun was out; a sunglasses kind of day 😎. As George put it, the perfect day to bring two right gloves and no left. Their first run was Nor'Easter, enjoying an empty trail of perfect corduroy. The snow will continue to soften, giving you some mashed potatoes today before temps start to drop later this afternoon. After a few more laps George's go-to trail was still NorEaster and his ski of choice was the Atomic Backland 100. (Stop by The Boot Pro to see what ski you should demo this weekend)

After a windy start to the day Okemo has 11 out of 12 scheduled lifts up and running at the time of this report. The Evergreen Express is still on wind hold but we know the team will get it going as soon as the wind allows. There are 118 trails ready for some action giving you 640 acres of skiing and riding. There was no snowmaking last night due to weather but there was plenty of grooming taking place across the mountain. There are some great mogul trails they have been left alone including one of my favorites Punch Line.

Pro Tip: Head over to Jackson Gore and grab a table out in the courtyard to eat lunch or enjoy a beverage. The perfect spot to enjoy the sunshine on a day like this.

Today's Quick Facts:

🎿 Trail Count: 118

🚡 Lift Count: 12

🔫 Snowmaking Last Night: 💤

🌡️ Mid to Upper 30's with temperatures dropping into the 20s in the afternoon into the evening.

It looks like we have some great weather for you this weekend. Temperatures are expected to be in the 20s to low 30s tomorrow paired with sunny skies. Sunday will be even warmer with partly sunny skies. Perfect weather to enjoy Après Afternoons over at the Jackson Gore Base Area tomorrow.
