Good afternoon everyone. Abby is enjoying a day off today. I'm sure she is busy watching Marvel movies, reading Harry Potter, playing with Maple, and asking why Noah hasn't sent a report yet. Well, Abby, I woke up at 4:45 am to skin and went back to bed instead.😴 Then I had some work to do, had family breakfast with my sister who is in town and eventually made it to the mountain a little after 12 pm. First off, happy 100 days, Okemo! Whether you get up here for two days a year or 100, we hope all your ski days are filled with fresh snow and endless smiles.😊
After a failed dawn patrol, I got out amid snow flurries that had me jonesing for some tree skiing.🌲 I only had an hour, so I took the most direct route to South Face, F-10 Magic Carpet, to the Sachem Quad, to the Glades Peak Quad. Upper Wild Thing, Forest Bump, and Double Diamond were all on my list. It was great to get into the woods; that is where I have the most fun.😁 Sliding around, finding something to jump off of, just enjoying the solitude in the woods. I'm not going to lie; it was a little thin, but not a big surprise considering it was Sunday afternoon. On my way back to the car, I skied Lower World Cup and was pleasantly surprised. The snow was still in great shape. It was still edgable and soft, a great way to end the day.
We received snow flurries throughout the day today, which may continue through the night. Temperatures warmed up considerably today, which will also be here for us tomorrow. We are back to East Coast Overcast tomorrow before our next storm rolls in tomorrow night. We are looking at a 6-10" storm to blanket the mountain Monday night, continuing through the day on Tuesday. Stay tuned for more intel tomorrow. 🌨️
Pro Tip: Stay in town this week, we are getting a snow storm!
