Good morning folks. It's Noah here to tell you that you should go skiing/riding today.🎿 I woke up slowly this morning, but as soon as I stepped outside, I knew I was making the right call. We received 2" of fresh snow last night, which was a surprise.❄️ I had a big dinner at Stemwinder last night with my family, so slogging through fresh snow helped me burn off that extra Apple Crisp we ordered.
I stepped into my skis just after 6 am, simply amazed I didn't see this snow coming. The snow is that light, fluffy kind of snow, it doesn't make good snowballs, but it does ski amazingly. Unfortunately, the upper mountain was stuck in the clouds when I summited, but the wind was minimal.☁️ I wasn't the only early riser today, Mike M. was out getting after it before Dad duty started. After a quick transition to downhill mode, I was off.
The groomers had made a couple of passes on Sapphire and Arrow, but they left the middle untouched. I floated down the mountain, carving into the corduroy underneath, living my best life. Do you know how they say you never paddle the same river twice? 🚣♂️ Well, skiing is like that too. Every day, trail conditions change. Some days you have powder, others crisp corduroy, and this time of year, we get mashed potatoes. So when the conditions change for the better, take advantage! ⛷️
Pro Tip: Don’t miss Après Afternoons at Jackson Gore from 2 to 5 p.m. today!
Today's Quick Facts:
🎿 Trail Count: 122/122
🚡 Lift Count: 20/20
❄️ New Snow: 2”
The weather today is going to be cloudy, with snow flurries possible through the morning. 🌨️Temperatures will be in the upper 20s to mid-30s across the mountain. Tomorrow is shaping up to be a sunny day with temperatures in the low to upper 30s. ☀️ With 100% of terrain open, Sunday sounds like a perfect spring day to me. Then snow is rolling back in Monday evening through Tuesday, with upwards of a foot expected!
