73. Sunday, February 25th

Good afternoon, everyone. Noah here, after a brief hiatus, I made it back for an uphill adventure this morning. While you all were enjoying the slopes this past week, I was working away and didn't make it out on the slopes, but from what I heard, it was a great week. 😎 I was joined by Chris who patiently waited for me to show up 15 minutes late. After over a week of no skinning, it took some extra time to get all my gear together today. Thank you, Abby and the rest of the UO team, for holding down the fort over the past few weeks! 🙌

It started off chilly this morning with temperatures in the single digits and the compressors humming. The snowmaking team, including Wardance and Arrow, was busy resurfacing things around the mountain today. It is getting to that time of year when the sun is rising earlier, and earlier, it wasn't until we reached the top that I realized I forgot to turn on my headlamp. The full moon also helped out! 🌕 It was cold, but with no wind, it felt much warmer than it actually was. We had a great hike and it wasn't until we hit Sapphire that the wind picked up. We reached the summit in about an hour, and after chatting with some of the race crew who were getting ready for Super-G on Chief, we were onto the downhill. ⛷️

Our ski down was great, crisp snow, perfect groomers, and views for days. I was kicking myself for not grabbing a tune during my days off snow, but I made it work. The snow is likely to be softer now as the temps have risen substantially. All in all, it is a great way to end the Holiday Week. I hope everyone had a good time in the snow. Here's to hoping I get more ski time in this week! 🙏

Lastly, if anyone was wondering, my bunionette is still here and was feeling pretty rough today. Time to stop in and get some boot work done! 🦶

Pro Tip: Ski with friends who inspire you to give your mustache a second chance. (I hope Rachel doesn't read this one...)
