77. Sunday, March 19th

Congrats, you made it through the holiday weekend! 🪩 It's Abby here to tell you that I'm on such a good vibe this morning. After winning the raffle at Après Afternoons yesterday (see @unofficialokemo for my prize) and feeling that touch of spring in the air, everything in the world just feels right. To top it off, Okemo is rolling out a sweet day of skiing and riding with a fresh dusting of snow and supreme grooming. So, come take a ride on my good vibe train and let's cruise into the sunset together on this glorious Sunday. 🚂 Sending it over to Noah for his sacred snow report update below.

Okemo Mountain Snow Report
Noah's morning commute 💨

What a day to be alive! We woke up to a dusting of fresh snow, the sun is out, and Okemo has 100% of its terrain open...what more can you ask for? 💯 I am still on the first chair train per my doctor's recommendation (no hiking for me), so I made my way over to the bubble to get in line with the other diehards. Our friend and subscriber, Janet, was first in line and we got to talking. She and her husband, Norm, have been big supporters of Okemo and our snow reports. We can learn from them as Janet was first in line this morning ready to get first tracks on her trail of choice, Nor’ Easter. Norm on the other hand was hanging at home unsure about what conditions were going to be like. We all need to be a little more like Janet and just go for it sometimes. 🤘 If you see Norm, make sure you let him know what he was missing out on today.

The gate opened at 8 a.m. sharp and we slid down the loading ramp and began our ski day. The summit had mild wind, but nothing that caused any lift issues. Chief and Nor’ Easter both were calling my name, but I ultimately decided to take Janet’s advice and head down Nor’ Easter. We did have about a couple of inches of fresh snow last night, which is a great treat but there was still fresh corduroy just below the surface. 🌨️ It was cold overnight and this morning started in the low teens, so the snow surface is firm. With temperatures fluctuating so frequently this time of year, we will deal with firm and crisp snow in the mornings before temperatures rise in the afternoon. 🥓 We are expecting cloudy skies today with temperatures in the upper teens to mid-20s. Snow flurries are also possible, but as we write this, the sun is slightly shining with hints of blue sky. To wrap up, all we really know is that today is going to be a great day to spend it on the mountain. Come and get it!

Pro Tip: Main+Mountain is hosting Sip N' Smoke Sundays with beer and wine specials & a Smokey Singleton's charcuterie board special. 🤩

❄️ Possible Snow Flurries Today

Tomorrow is going to be a spectacular day on the slopes! Temps will be in the high-30s with full sunshine, making for some spring-like conditions. 👙 I'm sure most of the locals will be out on the slopes tomorrow enjoying their ski day after working all weekend. Abby will be out there with Danny and friends to get you the Monday snow report. Stay tuned!
