91. Sunday, March 24th

Okemo received a whopping 25 INCHES of powder over the last 24 hours. ❄️ This is Abby with your post-blizzard ski report! Okemo is now nearly 100% open; a big uptick compared to the beginning of the month. It's absolutely stunning up here today with tons of powder, some pretty serious moguls, bluebird skies, and snow-topped pine trees. 😍

The last of our merch is currently 50% OFF! 🚨 Click here to shop. We only have 2 beanies, 3 sweatshirts, and a handful of t-shirts left!

I spent the day on the slopes with my bestie and Noah's better half, Rachel. 🤝 We were reveling in the beauty of the day and we just felt so grateful to be outside and playing in powder. 🥰

The snow conditions were not what I expected. When we go out there by 11:30, generally every trail was bumped up with tons of packed and loose powder. If you are not a mogul skier, today was probably not your day. 😅 I didn't expect it because Okemo is known to push out and groom powder, but I think the timing of the snowfall paired with the weekend traffic led to lots of mogul-covered trails. My legs are still shaking. 😂

My Nordica Santa Anas pulled through on another heavy powder day as I floated on top of the piles. ☁️ It was definitely a workout though!

Today's Quick Facts:

🏔️ Trail Count: 114/122

🚡 Lift Count: 16/20

🧤 Today's Gear: Helly Hansen Powderqueen

🎿 Today's Ski: Nordica Santa Ana

We found the trails on the lower portion of Solitude that lead you to Morning Star Triple were the least bumpy because fewer people ski here. Moonshadow and Line Drive were fantastic, but the snow was definitely getting sticky halfway down the mountain as the temps climbed. 🍭

Noah linked up with us for a few runs, and he and Rachel ducked into the glades of Whispering Pines, while I ditched them for some views.🌲 Upper Mountain Road was phenomenal and maybe my favorite run of the day to be honest. 🏆 I still think Rum Run is a trail to put on your skip list if you're here for only one day - don't prioritize it IMO. Lower Limelight was incredibly difficult due to knee-high moguls and high-traffic. At the end of the run, my fuel tank was empty but my heart was full. ❤️⛽️

Today was challenging for me, which is good for growing my technical ski abilities, and for my ego too. 😂 I took it slow and steady, stayed safe, and got to spend time with my friends on the slopes.

Pro Tip: Triplesec is open for those trying to ski all of Okemo's trails!

What a great way to end my weekend. 😄 I'll be enjoying the leftovers over the next few days on the hill before Spring comes back in full-force with warm temps and *cough* rain *cough*. 👀

Our readers can now expect weekend written snow reports through Okemo's closing on April 6th. For semi-daily updates, follow us on Instagram! It's where we are most active with the most up-to-date info. 📱
