Well it is day 3 without Abby and I think I am starting to get back in the grove of things. 💪 While I would have preferred a 5:30 am start, I was able to grab the third chair on the Sunburst this morning. It was a welcomed change to be driving up the access road and see the summit, I've been missing the early morning views. 🗻 Fortunately I was able to snag some first track on Upper World Cup and Chief and I can tell you it is worth getting up a little early for!

I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving, with that extra helping of turkey it was a slow start to the day but well worth getting out early. We had blue skies, mild temps and minimal wind to start the day. 🌞 The views from the summit were a great change from being stuck in the clouds. Although I didn't hike up today it was a pretty similar start. Fresh groomers well setup snow. You know I am a fan of soft snow but it's nice to get back to firm snow and pristine groomer runs. I was able to really open things up today and test out my new Nordica Enforcer 94 Unlimited. 🎿 This is mainly going to be my uphill ski but I've been testing them out early season and I am very happy with my choice. It feels like we are back into winter mode with this snow, we have been stuck in spring skiing conditions with the warm weather we have been having. Today's trail of the day for me was Upper World Cup, there is something special about first tracks and a trail all to yourself. ⛷️
Pro Tip: Don't ski under snow guns if you can help it. The snow is typically wetter than you think and will freeze on your goggles.
The temps are staying colder and snow making is in full force. 🔫 If you are up there today you will see snowmaking on Sweet Solitude, Lower Sapphire and some other areas as they work their way towards Solitude.
