Good morning, everyone; the Ted and Noah Show is back at it with another sunrise hike for you. Having a skinning partner who is a teacher 👨🏼🏫 means we have some early starts, but today, it was well worth it. The picture below should explain why we do what we do.

Our planned start time of 5:07 ensured that both of us would be on snow by 5:30. Today I actually beat Ted to the parking lot so I am pretty proud of myself! 👏 It was a chilly start with the temp in the parking lot reading 14 degrees (great for snowmaking). My Strava started at 5:28 and we were off. They were really pounding the base area with snowmaking which meant we didn't talk much until we were out of the impact zone and into the peace and quiet. With these early hikes we are in the dark for most of the hike and we don't see much of a sunrise until 3/4 of the way up, but when it did come it was pretty amazing. 🌅 After a quick stop at the summit to switch into downhill mode, take some pictures, and in my case eat some applesauce, we were on to the fun part.

The temperatures have been staying cold over the past few days and today was no exception. With temps in the low teens and some modest wind the snow was as close to perfect as we get at this point in the season. ⛷️ We had first tracks on some amazing corduroy this morning. Temperatures are expected to rise into the mid 20s today but we anticipate the snow staying cold and firm for you. If you hadn't heard Jackson Gore will be opening up this weekend! 🥳 Props to the entire mountain operations team for their hard work and expanding so fast, we can't wait to check it out.
Pro Tip: When scheduling your haircut make sure your Dad is getting his right before you and he might pay for you! (Thanks for the fresh cut Dad! Now I'm ready for engagement photos this weekend)
