Hey there readers! Jessie here with your Friday snow report. It was a great morning on the mountain – read on to hear more about today’s conditions.

The top of the mountain was covered in clouds when I hit the summit at the start of my morning, but the sun peeked out after just a few runs. It’s shaping up to be a beautiful day!☀️ There were a good number of folks on the mountain today, but plenty of snow to go around. Conditions and coverage are fantastic for early December - thanks to all the amazing Okemo staff who got us off to such a great start this season!
I didn't have a ton of time to ski today, but still managed to hit Sweet Solitude, Coleman Brook, Screamin’ Demon, Heavens Gate, Mountain Road, Upper World Cup, Lower Chief, Upper Sapphire, Upper Arrow, and Nor’Easter. Heavens Gate was my favorite trail today - lots of snow to play in, and barely anyone around! Nor’Easter was a smidge more crumbly and scraped off than my other runs, but that’s what I get for waiting to hit it until my last run. Overall the snow today was in great shape - plenty to push around and still cold enough to avoid sticky situations. 😎

Temps were in the 30s today and will continue to warm up tomorrow and Sunday. We have some wet weather headed our way Sunday afternoon, but hopefully some snow will follow on Monday and make up for it. Big news on the mountain this weekend is that Jackson Gore will be opening tomorrow! I always get really excited for this phase of terrain expansion - and not just because this base lodge is closer to my house. 😝 Okemo will be adding several more trails and lifts tomorrow, which is great for giving any weekend crowds more room to spread out.
Pro Tip: Rumor has it Jackson Gore is opening tomorrow. Get stoked people, I know I am!
Sending a special Happy Birthday shout out to my mom Joy today! She may be a powder snob who moved to Utah, but we love her anyway and have no complaints about getting to visit her in Park City. 😊 This awesome lady has business cards that say “Professional Ski Bum” on them – so as you can tell, this apple (me) didn’t fall far from the tree!
